Nox should be appreciated not just for its story. There is a story to Nox, and you can read it. However, the game should be appreciated for its gameplay alone.

Take it for what it is. The warrior is a melee fighter who wears most armor and uses melee weapons to deal damage. The mage is able to cast powerful spells against enemies. The summoner summons animals to help him defend himself. The mage is usually the strongest, while the warrior is his rival. Unfortunately, not all animals summoned by the summoner are very useful.

Torchlight II

Torchlight II is the sequel to the game Torchlight. It was originally a direct competitor to Diablo. It is as good as the original and sometimes even better. It may be the most similar to Diablo. The plot is not particularly deep or interesting. Like other ARPGs, the goal is to kill enemies and get loot.

This game doesn’t have a story. Random stats and loot combinations are plentiful like in Diablo. There will always be upgrades. With the spell or gem system, a mediocre item can become a great item. There are many ways to earn items in this game.

Path of Exile

Path of Exile didn’t make this list until June 2018. I think most of the problems with the game have been fixed and it is now one of my favorite games. This is the only free game on this list. Access to all the content is free. You can get to the next level without having to enter your credit card number.

There are cosmetic microtransactions that allow you to change your character’s appearance, pets, portals, and more. Storage microtransactions can be used to store your items. While this may seem unnecessary, it is actually necessary. There is a wide variety of items, and the game is designed to accommodate them all. You’ll find more and more storage space.
